A cycle and pedestrian bridge connects the two sections of the Osnabrück-Dütetal Golf Club's golf course. The original wooden bridge was severely damaged in an accident. A truck drove through the bridge with its tailgate open, ramming into it. A replacement structure was essential to maintaining smooth operations on the golf course.
Unlike the original wooden structure, a conscious decision was made to use durable, low-maintenance steel with a high level of design quality.
Existing bridge foundations could be reused for the new construction. To ensure the load-bearing capacity and durability of the new structure, a new abutment was built.
A key element of the new bridge is the BESISTA® rod system used for the diagonal bracing. The system ensures structural stability and emphasizes the structure's clear, modern aesthetic. The connecting elements blend seamlessly into the overall architectural design.
